Hello...
I'm Linda Ellis - jewellery designer/maker at the Bijou Box. We are situated near the north coast in mid-Cornwall in a leafy oasis seemingly unspoilt for centuries - where the birds still sing and I feel inspired.
It's been a year now since we launched at the Royal Cornwall Show and I thank all of you for your support - it's been a good experience which we now hope to build on and to let more of you know what our business is about. We were lucky to have three of our tiaras go jetting off to the offices of Marie Claire in New York for a photoshoot and the Bijou Box has recently been chosen as the Cornwall Bridal representative by Brides Magazine for inclusion on a CD Rom fronting the July/August issue.
I now have a collection of beautiful jewellery for you to see on the Bijou Box web-site; for those of you living closer to me, we have Bridal Party evenings where you can come along and choose your tiaras, combs and jewellery for your special day.
My jewellery is made from the finest components available - Swarovski crystals which sparkle and shine - especially those AB ( Aurora Borealis) crystals; sterling silver beads and findings; hand-made glass beads by designers Tammy Osczepinski (USA), Lori Greenberg (USA); Mike Poole (UK); Carol Hill (UK); Laura Sparling (UK) and Clare Scott(UK); some Fairtrade clay beads shaped and painted by the Kazuri women in Kenya together with other African bone beads and, of course, quality gemstone beads like the delicious yellow and apple green chalk turquoise. The Bijou Box tiaras are made from gold-filled (not gold-plated) and sterling silver wires and can be ordered in colours of your choice.
Each piece of jewellery is unique although some of the same components may be featured in a different style in other pieces. We are passionate about the quality of our jewellery and want you to feel special when you wear a piece so you will not find someone else wearing your necklace!
